Dear {insert name},

The School-Based Mental Health Professionals Summit is an all-new virtual event from the American Counseling Association (ACA) designed to empower and inspire those on the frontlines of student well-being. In one day, the summit will equip me with the latest knowledge, resources and collaborative opportunities I need to address the unique mental health challenges faced by our students today. I believe my participation is critical to bringing new ideas and approaches to our work and furthering my professional development.

The event takes place online on Jan. 31, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. I’ll be amongst hundreds of like-minded professionals to hear experts in the field talk about evidence-based practices, comprehensive mental health strategies and more. With more than 30 sessions being offered, I’ll walk away with actionable tips and tools that will make a lasting impact in our community.

Some of the sessions I’m most looking forward to include:

  • Building Data-Driven School Counseling Programs using Program Evaluation
    Ashley Cosby and Jhamarcus Pharoah
  • Creative, Theory-based Strategies for School-based Mental Health (SBMH) Professionals to Support Students and Families Affected by Substance Abuse
    Aubrey Uresti and Suzy Thomas
  • Playful Connections: Using Play in Small Group Counseling for Social and Emotional Growth
    Suzanne Stokes
  • Navigating Social Media: Supporting Adolescents in a Digital Age

    Shanda James

  • Partnerships and Care: Engaging Parents and Caregivers in the Boston Public School’s Comprehensive Behavioral Health Model (CBHM)
    Ivonne Borrero and Brian Hart

Since this is a virtual event, we will have huge cost savings. The only cost for the event will be the registration fee.

Registration Fees

ACA Member: $99
Student Member: $50
Non-Member: $150
Non-Member Student: $90

Plus, if I join ACA as a member, I’ll save more than $50 on registration and get access to even more resources, professional development and advocacy opportunities.

This investment will pay off in more efficient practices, new connections and valuable insights and ideas. In addition, I can provide a report of my key takeaways and recommendations to our team.

I appreciate your consideration and approval. I will ensure we get the full value of this event.

Sincerely,
{Your Name}
