Proposal Evaluation

Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria: 

  • Alignment with the theme and targeted audience
  • Ability to foster engaging discussion
  • Clear title and abstract that describes the presentation
  • Timely, relevant and/or appropriate topic selection
  • Positive contribution to the event, school counselors and mental health professionals and their students

Proposal Topics

We invite you to submit session proposals that will showcase and discuss valuable resources and research to help school counselors and mental health professionals enhance their practice to best serve all students. Presentation topics can include:

  • Innovative Approaches in School Counseling
  • Mental Health Trends in Schools
  • Crisis Management and Intervention
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access in Counseling
  • Collaborative Practices and Multi-disciplinary Teams
  • Professional Development and Self-Care
  • Legal and Ethical Considerations in School Counseling
  • Student Engagement and Empowerment
  • Family and Community Involvement
  • Research and Data-Driven Practices
