We’reoffering another opportunity for you to share your tried-and-true strategies, resources and unique insights with professional counselors and counselors-in-training as they work to grow and sustain their private practice.

Proposal Submission Guidelines

We encourage submissions from counselors, consultants, business coaches, financial experts, legal professionals, marketing specialists and other related experts with a passion for equipping counselors to succeed in private practice. Proposals should include: 

  • A clear and concise session title.
  • A session description (150–200 words) that outlines the objectives and takeaways.
  • Target audience and skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Speaker(s) bio and relevant expertise.

We’re seeking proposals that explore these specific topics:  :

  • Client Retention & Engagement – Strategies for maintaining long-term client relationships, reducing no-shows, and improving client commitment.
  • Advanced Business Strategies – Expanding beyond solo practice, hiring staff, growing group practices, and creating additional revenue streams.
  • Specialty Niches – Serving unique client populations, working with high-conflict clients, and building a practice around trauma-focused care.
  • Technology & Innovation – Leveraging AI, automation, data analytics, and digital tools to streamline practice management and enhance client outcomes.
  • Crisis & High-Stakes Counseling – Managing client crises, risk management, and supporting clients through major life transitions.
  • Career Longevity & Professional Growth – Planning for retirement and preparing a practice for sale or transition.
  • Human Resources & Leadership – Hiring and onboarding counselors, managing a team, fostering a positive workplace culture, and handling difficult employee situations.
  • HR Policies & Compliance – Employment laws, contracts, payroll, benefits, independent contractor vs. employee considerations, and ethical responsibilities.
  • Scaling & Delegation – Strategies for practice owners to delegate responsibilities, streamline operations, and effectively lead a team.
  • Pay Structures & Financial Management – Compensation models, tax and payroll considerations, profit-sharing, and financial sustainability in group practices.
  • Ethical and Legal Considerations in Management – Supervision, liability, client transitions, and protecting the practice when hiring other clinicians.
