Proposal Submission Guidelines

We encourage submissions from counselors, consultants, business coaches, financial experts, legal professionals, marketing specialists and other related experts with a passion for equipping counselors to succeed in private practice. Proposals should include: 

  • A clear and concise session title.
  • A session description (150–200 words) that outlines the objectives and takeaways.
  • Target audience and skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
  • Speaker(s) bio and relevant expertise.

We invite you to submit session proposals that explore a wide range of topics related to the business side of counseling. Presentation topics can include:

    • Navigating insurance reimbursement and billing

    • Implementing and optimizing electronic health record (HER) systems.
    • Telehealth best practices and legal considerations.
    • Leveraging technology to streamline operations and client care.
  • Diversity and Inclusivity in Practice
    • Strategies for creating an inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
    • Expanding access to underrepresented populations.
    • Incorporating social justice principles into your business model
  • Specialty Areas and Niche Practices
    • Identifying and marketing your niche
    • Building a specialized practice (e.g., trauma-focused, couples counseling)
    • Transitioning from generalist to specialist
  • Work-Life Balance and Counselor Well Being
