Millions Allocated for Behavioral Health Education, Training, and Community Programs

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced an additional $68.5 million in grants to support behavioral health education, training, and community programs. This funding has been allocated to several different programs, including the:

• Minority Fellowship Program
• Rural Emergency Medical Services Training
• Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) Program for Individuals with Serious Mental Illness
• Addiction Technology Transfer Centers Cooperative Agreements
• National Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions
• Minority AIDS Initiative: Integrated Behavioral Health and HIV Care for Unsheltered Populations Pilot Project
• Minority Aids Initiative: SUD Prevention and Treatment Pilot Program
• Garrett Lee Smith Campus Suicide Prevention Grant Program
• National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative
• Syndemic Approach to Prevention
• Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Improvement and Advancement
