SAMHSA Announces $45.1 Million in Grant Awards

SAMHSA announced that it will be awarding $45.1 million in grants to support mental health and substance use services. The agency particularly emphasized funding for children and youth services, allocating $15.3 million specifically for this group.

Funding will also go to services for people experiencing homelessness, people reentering society post-incarceration, pregnant and postpartum individuals, and families. Additional grant opportunities include funding for opioid recovery centers, developing infrastructure for school–based mental health services, evidence-based employment programs, and certified community behavioral health clinics.
