New Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Funding Opportunities

SAMHSA has announced new funding opportunities for supporting women’s behavioral health.

The Community-Based Maternal Behavioral Health Services Program allocates $15 million for improving access to maternal mental health and substance use treatment. In particular, the program aims to strengthen community referral pathways and ensure smooth care transitions for pregnant woman with, or at risk for, behavioral health conditions. Applications for this program are due August 26, 2024.

The Women’s Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Center allocates $12.5 million for increasing healthcare professionals’ capacity to support women with, or at risk, for mental health and substance use conditions. The program will provide training and technical assistance through individual consultations, learning communities, online education materials, and more. Applications for this program are due August 20, 2024.
