“Further, we commend ACA members, who are being called to step up during this tumultuous time. As an organization, we provide valuable resources and information that help our members help their clients.
Our members, given their compassion and passion for social justice, may be personally impacted by this triple tragedy. And, we encourage counselors to reach out to each other to provide that much needed support.
Lastly, we should all take a moment to think of the lives lost and the impact on the families and friends of those individuals,” added Yep.

"Today, we mourn the tragic loss of life in three separate, but increasingly troubling incidents,” said ACA President, Dr. Catherine B. Roland.
"At this time of need, ACA members are on the front lines providing much needed assistance to their clients and communities.
As president of ACA, I encourage members to turn their anger and frustration toward efforts to ensure that our clients, who are impacted directly, and indirectly through vicarious trauma, have the resources they need to cope and thrive."
