Held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City from August 27-29, ACA was represented by Yegan Pillay, Chair of the ACA Human Rights Committee; Rich Yep, ACA Chief Executive Officer; and David Kaplan, ACA Chief Professional Officer. The conference drew a record attendance with more than 2,200 representatives from 700 NGO’s. The focus of the conference was on providing input into strategies for implementing the post-2015 agenda that was adopted last year. This agenda focuses on achieving a world free of poverty by the year 2030 grounded in human rights, freedom, peace and democracy, sustainable development, and climate justice.
