Bullying appears very often in the health and safety concerns expressed by students, parents, and educators. From the school to the playground to the community mall, aggressive, violence-prone youth are causing anguish for many of their peers. Seen as a precursor for more serious violence, bullying is a behavior that requires immediate and appropriate intervention. The Center for the Study of Violence and Prevention projects that those who bully are four times more likely than non-bullies to be convicted of a serious crime by the age 24.
