- The date of confirmation from the nominee that they have the following five requirements:

- In a maximum of 800 words, please provide a statement:
- Discussing your perspective on how the nominee has met these criteria, and
- How the nominee’s contributions are consistent with ACA’s mission (The mission of the American Counseling Association is to promote the professional development of counselors, advocate for the profession, and ensure ethical, culturally inclusive practices that protect those using counseling services.)
Please note: While the quantity of work (e.g., the number of leadership positions, publications, classes taught, clients served) can be an important factor, this award recognizes those who have gone beyond quantity and provided quality work that has influenced, changed, and significantly advanced the counseling profession and/or counselor practices on the national level through their professional practice; scholarly achievement; leadership and governance; and/or teaching, training, supervision and mentoring. As such, please focus your statement on the italicized section in the previous sentence.
