BHW offers three levels of the behavioral therapist positions based on the candidates level of education and experience in the field. The specific role of the behavioral therapist is to provide direct intervention to individuals with or at-risk for developmental delays or disorders. Experienced behavioral therapists also provide parent consultation to families Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and educational coursework completed in the areas of child development, special education, psychology, or related field is preferred.
A minimum of six months experience working as a parent consultant/counselor (with special needs, especially autism) is preferred.
Previous work experience with ABA, DTT, PRT, PECS, and autism is a PLUS.
Ability to communicate effectively utilizing both written and verbal skills.
Bilingual Spanish and Vietnamese is a PLUS.
Valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance.
Part-time and full-time employees with benefits, depending on hours worked per week.
8:00 a.m. -- 8:00 p.m., Monday -- Sunday shifts available. Note that you must be regularly available to work during our high demand hours of 2pm-8pm.
Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week to be considered.
Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus.

Professional Development Opportunities: BHW offers ongoing training through our continuing education programs and prefers to promote from within. The company offers an ABA program held jointly between National University and BHW. BHW employees are eligible to attend courses, take advantage of discounted tuition, obtain BCBA hours while working, while earning an ABA certificate and/or Master's degree from National University.
